Mints’ Picks for Prime Big Deal Days: Kitchen, Home, and Family Upgrades Worth the Click

Prime Big Deal days are here, and our Moms in Tech community is already scoping out the best deals. The fall sale runs October 6-7, with new deals dropping throughout both days.

If you’ve been eyeing a big purchase and waiting for the right moment to push that “checkout” button, this might be it. Whether you’re finally upgrading the vacuum that’s seen better days or getting a head start on holiday gifts, we’ve pulled together the products our community reaches for the most. We’ve organized everything by category, so you can skip ahead to what you need. We’ve also double-checked prices, including only those items that are truly discounted and not inflated artificially for the sales event.

Note that the links pointing to Amazon are affiliate links. Clicking through and purchasing through these links generates a small affiliate fee for Mints, helping us fundraise to keep our community free. Prices and deals change quickly during the event, so check the listing for the current price before you buy.

The Kitchen

Let’s start where we spend most of our evenings. The CHEFMAN Digital Air Fryer is a weeknight lifesaver for crispy dinners without the wait, and a great way to reheat leftovers (or cook up those Trader Joe’s frozen items that are a staple in many busy kitchens!). The Breville Smart Over Air Fryer is another multi-functional appliance that’s worth the counter space. If you’re a “smoothie before the school run” kind of mom, the Ninja Nutri-Plus Personal Blender has a handy single-serve cup that allows easy on-the-go sipping and one less dish to wash.

For coffee devotees, the Breville Barista Express Espresso Machine is a splurge-worthy pick. With its built-in grinder, it allows you to make café-style drinks at home at a fraction of the cost you’d pay at Philz or Blue Bottle. It’s a big ticket item for sure, but a great savings over the next two days in case you’ve had your eye on upgrading your home caffeine situation. For the bakers in your life, the KitchenAid Stand Mixer is a classic that is beloved for good reason. These rarely go on sale, so it’s a great opportunity to save if you’ve had your eye on one.

Cookware and Kitchen Organization

Cooking is more fun (or at least easier!) when you have the right gear in the kitchen. The HexClad 6-Piece Nonstick Pot Set comes highly recommended from our community. With a deal this good, it feels like a good time to upgrade. While you’re at it, take a moment to finally ditch those stained plastic food saver containers, and grab some Rubbermaid Glass Food Storage Containers to make meal prep and reheating easier.

The DREO Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System is a smart pick for families looking to have filtered water on hand without the expense of a full home system, and without the hassle of refilling pitchers on the regular.

Clean Home, Clear Mind

If there’s one product category that has Mints chiming in the most, it’s our vacuums. The iRobot Roomba Vacuum is a celebrated option for “set it and forget it” households, handling the daily crumb patrol quietly while you’re busy on a call. For spills and messes that are harder to clean, a stick vacuum is the move. Two options rose to the top of the list of favorites in our community, the Dyson Cyclone Cordless Vacuum and the Levoit VortexIQ Pro Cordless Vacuum. Vacuums are some of the most commonly discounted items during these Deal Days, so be sure to compare deals before you commit. But, vacuums aren't the only cleaning appliance we're excited about these days. Keep the air in your home clean and pure with the Coway Air Purifier, great for reducing airborne pollutants and allergens.

Home Office & Cozy Upgrades

Our community has been vocal about their love for standing desks, and the Flexispot Standing Desk is not only sleek and functional, but comes in different colors to help match your home office vibe. Being able to switch between sitting and standing all day has proven health (and attention) benefits. Take your setup up a notch by adding this deeply discounted Walking Pad Treadmill that lets you get your steps in while on Zoom calls. Add a pair of Beats Solo 4 Wireless headphones that come highly recommended for deep-focus work, podcast listening in the school pick-up line, or tuning out chaos for a few blissful moments.

There’s also something to be said about fresh bedding. Meet chillier winter temps with an upgraded Bedsure Comforter Duvet Insert, on deep discount. It’s a great pick if you’re looking to upgrade your guest spaces before the holidays.

Safety & Little Ones

The Ring Outdoor Cam 2K is a popular pick for peace of mind, whether just keeping an eye out for holiday package deliveries or wanting to have a view of what’s happening in your entryway no matter where you are.

If you’re expecting, or your little one is outgrowing an infant seat, the Graco Extend2Fit Convertible Car Seat is a solid choice and is rarely discounted this deeply. If you’ve been in the market for a new car seat, or have baby showers to attend in the near future, this is a great pick.

A Little Something for You

Last but not least, why not upgrade your routine with a new Philips Sonicare DiamondClean electric toothbrush? It’s a small luxury that helps you start each day off fresh, and a nice gift for a mom who always puts others first (hint, you!).

A Few Tips for Smarter Shopping

You’ll need an active Prime membership to access the deals, and new deals will drop throughout both days of the sale. Deals are prone to expire and sell out, so add your favorites to your cart or wish list ASAP. If a price doesn’t look like a real deal, make sure to check the price history of an item before adding to your cart.

That’s the roundup! We hope you find something here that makes your days a little easier, your home a little cozier, and your wallet a little happier. Happy shopping! 💚
