Our Story

In June of 2017, Linda Xiong was juggling her busy job in tech with her role as mom. As her daughter grew from infant to toddler, she realized her support network didn’t include many other moms in tech, and even fewer who had kids older than newborn. It dawned on her that a new kind of support group was needed.

Joined by her colleague, Darci Groves, Linda jumped in and started building the community she needed. Six years later, Moms in Tech has grown to more than 18 thousand moms all over the world. Run entirely through the volunteer efforts of a passionate and dedicated moderation team, the group helps moms with everything from finding the right stroller to finding a new job to finding their sense of purpose.
